Volunteer Job Description

The PRBI Prison Team visits the Grande Cache Institution (and, when possible, the Peace River Correctional Centre) during the year. Each visit, the team will conduct a short service/presentation, and then spend time visiting with the inmates who attend. While women are welcome on the team, note that both institutions are all-male population.

Demographic: Prison inmates (all male)

Dates & Times

Trips are per schedule available from the Field Ed Director (Brad Cowie) or team supervisor.

This is a full year commitment which includes about 10 full-day trips (4-6 each semester depending on scheduling), as well as planning meetings and rehearsals during the week as needed

Frequency of Involvement

Approximatly 1-2 trips per month, depending on schedule.

Trips are all day (approx. 8-10 hours).
Additional prep varies as needed.

Positions Available

Applications are limited to the first 12 people.
Final team size will be 6-8, pending approval..

Must be over 18 years of age.

Direct sign up with PRBI in the fall.
