Academic Programs

Peace River Bible Institute offers three primary programs:

PRBI's Four-year Degrees are accepted at most seminaries across Canada and the USA.


Bachelor of Religious Education (BRE) - Four-year Degree 
In the BRE program, the student may obtain a major (134 credit hours of study) in one of the following:

  • Christian Ministry
  • Church Music
  • Global Ministries
  • Pastoral Studies
Presently a student may also incorporate one of several different minors (15 designated credit hours within the 134 credit hours of the four-year major).

The following are minors that you are eligible to take:

Bachelor of Biblical Studies (BBS) - Three-year Degree
In the BBS program, the student may obtain a minor (102 credit hours of study) in one of the following: 

  • Christian Camping
  • Christian Ministry
  • Church Music
  • Corporate Worship
  • General Studies
  • Sports
  • Youth

Associate of Christian Studies (ACS) - Two-year Diploma
The ACS diploma is a self-contained program with a fair extent of flexibility to suit the student's interests.


To accommodate those who are able to come for only one-year, the course offering in the first-year is designed to be a self-contained and meaningful unit. First-year courses also form the basis of the other programs, allowing you to continue into any of the programs without loss of credit, provided you meet the entrance requirements of that program.
