A challenging opportunity exists for a visionary leader.  In keeping with the mission of the organization, the President will implement programs to ensure the long-term financial sustainability of Scripture Union Canada, (SU). He/she will increase the visibility of SU in the wider Christian community across Canada and overseas and support its leaders who are seeking to share the Gospel through Bible engagement, sports ministry and activities for children and their families. He/she will provide leadership in the development and distribution of print and electronic material to encourage daily Bible engagement.  He/she will provide prayerful, servant leadership to the staff of SU and its ministry partners. 

The successful candidate for this position is a committed Christian with a bachelor’s degree and post-secondary theological training or equivalent experience.  You have at least 10 years of work experience in ministry and/or business, including 5 years at a leadership level.  You can demonstrate first hand experience in at least one of SU’s ministries and the ability to support the others.  You are well-connected in the Christian and business communities with an established track record in fund raising.  Your well developed communications skills enable you to present the mission of SU to large groups and to relate well to smaller groups or to individuals.  You have led the development and implementation of a multi-year strategic plan for at least one of your previous employers and monitored its effectiveness.  You have worked as a volunteer and/or know how to get results in the volunteer sector.
