Understanding Addictions GS520

This course is an introduction to addiction and treatment theory. You will gain an understanding of addiction in general, and explore specific types of addictions -- including substance (drugs/alcohol/etc.) and behavior (gaming/ food/ phones/ pornography/ work/ exercise/ etc.) -- and how they work. Together, we will consider various models of addiction theory (i.e. why addiction occurs) and prominent models of treatment, both from a Biblical perspective.
